Shelly Walrath
5th Degree Black Belt, Shelly Walrath has been studying
martial arts since the age of 8. With over 30 years of
martial arts experience, she balances patience with firm
discipline when teaching children.
She is the 1991 PKL National Woman Fighter of the Year and
PKL Hall of Fame inductee. Shelly has won over 300 local,
national, and international competitions and medaled in
England, Spain, Italy, Austria, & Canada in the World
Championships. In 2001, Shelly took the Gold at the IAKSA
World Championships in Austria.
Doug Walrath
Doug is a second degree black belt with 15 years experience
in martial arts and 12 years experience as an instructor. In
1999, Doug earned a position on the U.S. National Team
and competed and made it to the quarter finals in the Men’s
Light Contact at the WAKO World Championships held in
Madrid, Spain. In 2000, Doug won 1st place in Men’s
Continuous fighting at the US Open National Karate
Tournament held in Orland, Florida.
Doug's experience includes weapons, forms, point fighting,
continuous fighting, and Full Contact. His diversity and love
for the martial arts has made him a patient and firm
instructor who believes learning and hard work can be fun.
